Pastry Assistant:
Our shop produces small batch sweet and savory items from scratch each day. You will be working alongside the Pastry Chef and our team in producing items for our rotating menu and special orders.
See below for the qualities we are looking for in our Assistants:
- Strong knowledge of baking, pastry and production - You must be able to read, scale and execute recipes accurately. You must be comfortable with baking off products and finishing desserts/cakes to our standards
- Strong sense of teamwork
- Ability to work independently when needed
- Strong attention to detail - We like our product to speak for us, they have to be consistently awesome
- Efficient and clean work style - Keep it nice at all times!
- Great ability to manage time productively - Things will get busy, so this is key!
- Knowledge of the products we make
- The ability to stand for majority of the workday
- Ability to arrive to shifts on time
- A positive attitude
- Flexibility - Things can change, and we need you to be able to adapt accordingly
Experience:
1 year professional baking/ pastry experience in a bakery or restaurant setting doing production. Cake experience is preferred.

Barista:
Job responsibilities:
- Prepare espresso-based drinks according to our menu and customer specifications
- Ensure coffee preparation area is stocked and clean
- Process sales transactions using a POS (point of sale) and process all forms of payment, package food items for customers.
- Maintain display area cleanliness and place products according to display guidelines
- Assist customer with product-related questions and any other front of house functions
- Answer telephone calls and take catering orders
- Follow and comply with all applicable health and sanitation requirements
- High energy and engaging personality, professional demeanor
- Ability to work on your feet for an extended period
- Ability to stay calm and focused in a busy environment
- Available to work flexible hours including mornings, weekend and holidays
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
- Experience in a similar customer-facing position is preferred
- Have a passion for delicious and quality coffee and food!
Job Type: Part-Time
Preferred experience: 1 year in a professional cafe setting as a Barista.
